Testing for Aerobic Bacteria in Water

Yeast and fungi are aerobic bacteria/spores that can cause fouling problems in water systems and process waters if allowed to proliferate.

Kittiwake RBS dip-slides provide a means of testing for aerobic bacteria in water samples. the dipslides work by measuring general aerobic bactera on one side of the slide and yeast/fungi on the other. Measurement range is 100 to 1,000,000 CFU per millilitre.

The table below gives a chart of recommended tests.
