Polyacrylates are primarily used as dispersants and scale inhibitors in a wide range of industrial applications .

From bottle washing products to cooling or boiler water treatments . Polyacrylates are particularly stable where chlorine or hypochlorite is used for microbiological control.

Kittiwake drop test kits or photometer packs provide rapid field evaluation of polyacrylate conditioners. For best accuracy the kits should be calibrated to individual products.

The table below gives a chart of recommended tests.
