Molybdate
Molybdenum (in the form of Molybdate) is an extreamly effective corrosion inhibitor used extensively in closed recirculating systems , typically for refridgeration chilled water or engine cooling.
Required dose for effective control is in excess of 200mg/l, often in combination with other corrosion, antifoulant and scale inhibitors.
Molybdate is also added to open evaporative cooling water treatments at low concentrations as a product tracer where the ability to test for other inhibitors is either more difficult or impractical.
Kittiwake test kits are available in many formats depending upon the range and application required. Low level detection is possible using test srtips , drop tests , comparator or photometer test.
High level kits are available as comparator ,photometer and drop test .
