Cyanuric Acid

Cyanuric acid is used to slow down the ultra-violet (UV) breakdown of oxidising biocides such as chlorine in outdoor swimming pools .

Cyanuric acid is added via chlorine donors such as chlorisocyanurates up to a maximum of 200 mg/l.

Kittiwake cyanuric acid test kits are used poolside to enable controlled dosing and proper pool management . Tests available include the highly accurate, portable colorimeter , an easy and convienient ECON Comparator , or the simple turbidity tube.
