Chlorine Dioxide

Chlorine dioxide is an extreamly effective oxidising biocide used in the disinfection of tanked potable water and for high shock dose chemical cleaning.

The Kittiwake chlorine dioxide test kits will measure free chlorine dioxide as part of the total oxidant content to help monitor the generator efficiency.

The drinking Water Inspectorate (DWI) has set guidelines for the concentration of total oxidants present in potable water , with particular reference to the use of chlorine dioxide, produced at high concentration via generators, then blended with the distributed water supply.

The table below gives a chart of recommended tests.
